Blown-In Insulation in the Rio Grande Valley
The value pick for Valley attics. Fills unevenly and around obstructions, and tops up what you already have.
Why blown-in insulation works in Valley homes
Blown-in insulation is loose material installed with a hose, so it settles into the awkward spaces batts cannot reach and around the framing, wiring, and ductwork already up there. For a typical Valley attic that needs depth added, it delivers the most R-value per dollar.
We install both cellulose and loose-fill fiberglass. Either can be layered over existing insulation, so if your current material is dry and in reasonable condition, a top-up is often the right call rather than a full replacement.

blown-in insulation questions
How much does blown-in insulation cost?
Roughly $1.50 to $3.50 per square foot depending on the depth you need and how accessible the attic is. We put the figure in writing after an inspection.
Does blown-in settle over time?
Some settling is normal, which is why we install to a depth that accounts for it and mark the finished level so it can be checked later.
Can it go over old insulation?
Yes, as long as the existing material is dry and not contaminated. That is one of the main reasons blown-in is such good value.
